GMA to get double her salary

Oops. I know in the old constitution this was not allowed. The purpose being that to protect the value of money, the President's salary was pegged at Php35,000.00/month. At the time the constitution was written, this was a huge amount of money. It was a self limiting law.

I remembered a month ago, I had loose bowel movement (LBM). Someone told me that so long as I drank lots of fluids, without medication, it would go away as this was self limiting. Likewise, with this law in the constitution, if ever the president does not protect the value of money, i.e., spend more than what it's earning, sooner or later, it would be that the salary of the President would be of Low Value due to inflation that no one would spend so much to get the position anymore.

Without that law in the present constitution, it's open season for any President to increase the salaries of Government Employees to the deteriment of the Private Sector. This would only flame inflation in the country and that government employees will not protect the value of money anymore for they easily could get salary increases thru legislation.

Again, I reiterate the role of government. Government officials are servants to the people. They should see to it that public funds are spend properly, expose fraud and corruption at the highest levels of government institutions. They should protect the private sector, the middle class, the people who work hard to pay their taxes, the people who make the economy run.

Government alone cannot make the economy run and has no business in doing so. What's happening now worries me as this will destroy the middle class, destroy the private sector leaving only a government with fat big salaries with an economy that could not support itself.

PNP explains Methane Gas explosion theory

In a press conference today, PNP explained its Methane Gas explosion theory. It goes like this:

1. They found a raised level flooring which they say methane gas accumulated to 5% of air volume of the airpocket in that location.
2. They say that ignition was caused by automatic switch number 4.

QUESTION: How the hell could an ignition be caused by an automatic switch several meters away from the methane gas pocket inside the raised flooring?

Martial Law?

Binay was voted Mayor overwhelmingly by the people of Makati. Does the military not show any respect for this. Are they above will of the populace of Makati that they do not show any respect for the "City Hall of Makati"? I for one did not vote for Binay, but since the populace of Makati overwhelmingly voted for him, I respect him as our duly consituted Mayor.

They claim that they want to secure the place of the Trial of Trillanes. Again I did not vote for Trillanes, but he was voted by 11Million Filipinos for Senator. Again I respect the will of the people and I respect Trillances as duly elect Senator. That's what Democracy is all about.

Again, this "Military" is under "Malacanang" whose leader is very much in doubt. The allegations that she cheated in the elections has never been resolved and she has consistently avoided "impeachment" by hiding under the technicalites of the law. Hence, I have no respect of such a president. Yak.

A word of advice to this "Military". Do not throw your weight around as you are threading on "soft" ground.
